The Big God Tent during the summer of 2010 was a huge success and as well as drawing together the members of the churches of Penarth for a fun-packed weekend, saw many people from outside our church memberships coming along and hearing the Gospel message. A year later, some of them are still coming!

A decision has been made that the Big God Tent will return in 2012 and we hope that it will coincide with the London Olympics and be based on a sporting theme.

During this ‘gap year’ of 2011 there will be a Fun day held on the cliff top on the afternoon of Sunday 17th July.  Bouncy castles, children’s games, BBQ’s, displays and church stalls will come together with “The Big Stage” as a centrepiece, showcasing the musical talents of our churches. Following the Fun Day activities at 5.00pm there will be a Penarth ‘Songs of Praise’ when it is hoped the members of CYTUN churches will commit themselves to coming together for a combined act of worship and praise.

Please pray for this event.  Please give financially to support it if you have not done so yet. Please offer a stall or a stand at the fun day if you are able. Please think about what talent your church might bring to the Big Stage... but most of all just come along and have fun!
